Dr. Ricardo Bardo finished his Ph.D. in linguistics in July 1999 at the University of Havana. Cuba. The objective of his research was the design of a bilingual ideographic and semantic digital dictionary. Since 1988 up to 2000, he taught translation and interpreting in the English Language and Literature Department of the University of Havana until he decided to become a freelance translator, interpreter and trainer. He designed the interpreting courses that are being taught in many Cuban Universities. He has also designed interpreting courses for the Universidad Autónoma de Baja California in Mexico and he gave a workshop in 1999 to a group of court interpreters from the state of California in the US. The workshop was credited by the Court Interpreters Minimum Continuum Education (CIMCE) and was valid for 6 CIMCE credits. He has also taught Spanish at Dartmouth College and Florida State University.
Dr Bardo is also an experienced translator with a wide portfolio of clients from all over the world.
Apart from his expertise in translation and interpreting, Ricardo Bardo is also a bilingual (English/Spanish) voice talent and radio and television presenter.
